"Dwarf Trees For Table Use"
(1902), in a five paragraph article about various decorations or centerpieces for the
holidays, the fourth paragraph ends with this line:
"Most unique of all are the Japanese miniature trees, set in carved teakwood boxes or
in Japanese porcelain receptacles, and the sight of them conjures up a vision of old Japan,
with its romance and mystery."
